Mystery condition

This is something I have asked before, has anyone got any experience of the following. I get on an irregular basis, patches of very sensitive painful skin about the size of the palm of a hand, with pulsating pain from the flesh as well. This only affects the upper part of my thighs , never under the thighs, or anywhere else. The skin shows no outward affects , no redness, no heat, nothing. But I can,t emphasise enough how painful this is, the only relief I can find is rubbing in Voltarol gel, doing this is painful too, but worth it for the affect it has, this is a new thing the Voltarol, but I use it for Osteoarthritis. So instead of suffering for days, with this strange condition, more than a few applications, brings it down to 24hours, usually. I did ask one Dr. but the laid back reply, was ,I think, it is similar to Carpal Tunnel of the wrists. No other info, or of possible treatment. I have suffered this for a lot of years, so please if anyone has an answer, please Post.

Certainly sounds like a nerve condition.

Thank you very much, I have looked up this, and it appears to agree with the Dr, although a bit more info etc, would have bee nice. I am not overweight, but I take note of other treatments, namely painkillers.This has been a mystery for so many years, is is great to find out what it appears to be .Again thank you very ,very much, madlegs1

Anything constricting the hips may cause it- tight belt , car seat belt in auto accident etc.

Yes I realise that things like that will be necessary, I have had a look at the exercises, and I am going to try these. Thanks again.
