I’m worried and curious I’ve got a few bumps on my head that appeared about five months ago now and when I touch it, it hurts but not severely, also when I brush my hair it hurts and it also feels like my hair is being pulled. It started when I started getting bad headaches and seeing flashing lights I never knew what that was either, but now I’m just wondering why these bumps appeared out of no where

Have you seen your GP about this?

It could be swollen lymph nodes, though I don't think that would cause headaches & flashing lights which could me related to migraine.

It's always best to have worrying symptoms investigated by a doctor, especially as you write the issue has been going on for 5 months.

Hello Charlotte, I've experienced tingling scalp and couldn't bear my hair to be washed or brushed in the past few years...my GP said this was possibly due to neuralgia when i was feeling severe symptoms of flare up in body...You should have your GP check this out..

Best wishes.

Do you think this could be related to stress? I have a really tensed neck and upper back a lot, thanks for your reply.

My GP stated the scalp tingling - felt like someone was running an electric current over scalp - was a severe stress reaction and also had a stiff joint in back of neck...having this sensation at the moment ...most probably coming from my arthritic shoulder joint..write all your symptoms down like a list then the GP has a clearer picture of what is happening with you.

Good Luck

Scalps are bad for spots and rashes. Can you get a friend to have a look and see ? You don't say how big they are or whether they are on the surface or not.

When people look they say they can’t see any thing and today’s worse I’ve got a pain left side of head and it’s like throbbing sharp I couldn’t lay on it last night including terrified. :(

You need to go to the doctors and get some expert advice. It's probably nothing serious but it's possible it could be. Don't wait any longer and make that appointment now. We can't tell you what the problem is on here. Let us know how you get on at the doctors. x
