My introduction to pain

This is my first proper post having just joined a few days ago. I thought I would give a brief introduction to my condition so here it is.

Due to many bouts of major surgery I have a twisted small bowel, adhesions, incontinence , osteoporosis, crumbling at the base of my spine, Crohns, chronic pain, chronic fatigue and permanent nerve damage in the area where my anus and rectum used to be' I have had them removed'. There are other conditions that are not pain related so have left them off.

I am finding all your guys post very helpful.

Life can be so cruel for some people suffering multiple health problems. Most of us find it hard to deal with just one. You must feel exhausted fighting all that pain day in and day out. If only I could wave a magic wand lol

It's very surprising what you can cope with when you have to. I find that if you can laugh at yourself it helps you get through anything. Yes there are times, many times when I'm ready to give up but then when you least expect it something happens to make me smile.

Welcome silverbadger, we'll it's like a shopping list your health conditions and I'm really sorry to hear that you have so many conditions, your health issues are really alot for just one person to take on board, and just having a stranger to talk to can be something to try and take your mind off things for a while, you'll find a great deal of information on here and also lots of people maybe asking you for advice, and also finding how others cope with there own health problems, whilst non of us are qualified doctors, sometimes in your case experience counts, as people have certain conditions and don't know what to expect, and information is greatly appreciated, (not always good), but myself I feel honesty about any health condition is better than anticipation and filling you with utter dreadful feelings, so my heart felt thank you for your post, ttfn

Yes, what you say is so wise. I can so relate to what you say. I to have always insisted that I'm told the absolute truth with no punches held.

@silver badger my god you have it. Really bad how can you stand it.I am very empathetic I feel like my pains not nearly as bad as yours. If you need someone to blow off to I,m here, you can blow off all you want let it all out. Don,t try to keep the pain inside it makes worse let it out. Cry,throw things it just might make you feel better take care. Susiejo1948

Thank you Susiejo. That's so nice of you, it truly is amazing what one can cope with when one has to. There are days when I fall apart but mostly it's just become all completely normal to me.
