Itchy feet.: Hi all. Just over the last few... - Pain Concern
Itchy feet.
It's probably dry skin which is common this time of year so five them a soak in warm water and rub in some cream or cooking oil if you don't have cream. Put socks on to keep feet warm and to stop you from slipping. Before bed is the ideal time to do it and your feet should feel Like silk by the morning and hopefully all itching stopped.
Could be start of chilblains. .they start out ichy but as progress toes become red and relentless itching. If you have started to feel cold feet as the temperature has changed, this could be a warning to put socks/slippers on and not let your feet get cold. I have allergy to wool and the fabric inside slippers. Awful itching. I have to wear cotton in socks and slippers. Hope you find a cause and solution quickly.
Hi lady bear. Its not between my toes just underneath my feet and ôn the top. I also wear slippers every day. So I'm confused. Maybe in need of a trip to gp or could ask my heamatomcrosis nurse she may know. Thanks for the reply though. 😃 xx
hi debbs its a good idea to go to the doctor and see whats causing this horrible itch. please dont scratch your feet with your nails or break the skin as this can cause serious infections especially if your immune system is low. Have you tried those exfoliating mitts they are good for rubbing any itch and you can be quite gentle with them you can get ones that are like gloves. thinking of you and sending you love. grace xoxoxo 🌺
Hiya grace. Yeah I'm going to hospital today for venesection so I'll ask the nurse's there if nothing to do with my heamatomcrosis then I'll go see my gp. Had to use my nails as driving me insane. I do have one of themgloves so I'll have to try that.Finallly got around to sending you a private message other day. Will let u know how it goes today. Takecare love debbs xxxx😃
how did you get on at hospital debbs? did you have the correct date? 😄 i hope that you get this itch thing sorted out as you have enough to deal with as it is. im thinking about you. all my love grace xoxo
Hiya grace. Sorry was ķnackered after venesection yesterday just came hone and crashed. Yeah had right date. Yeah asked the nurse, she said she's never heard of it but will defo look into for me. I goggled it and it said it's a rare side effect, that will be just right for me at the mo what with everything else. Think if persists going to have go to gp. Xxxx😃
A course of lamisil tablets prescribed may well help take all this away, I had itchy scratchy till i wanted to tear off skin and had to cut it away every times for best part of ten years, and only things that helped were lamisil tablets for 6 months and potassium permanganate crystals to soak feet in, hope you get it sorted x
Hi Greek queen. That's how it feels, I could literally scratch the skin of my feet. I've ēven used the blunt side of a knife to scratch them its driving me nuts. What's the tablets do and can you buy over counter or have to get them on script. Thanks for your reply .😃
debbs lamisil is for fungal infections. you can buy it at boots i dont like what it says about the liver though and i think you should check that out before use. it seems to say its dangerous. my x boyfriend uses it. dont just use it without checking with your doctor. please. xoxoxo

Hi grace thankyou for the info on lamisil. But it's not a fungul infection, as was at my chiropodist yesterday and told him about it as he saw the state of my feet. An if it was fungul he'd of said. Suggested using calamine lotion. Which I Did do last night. Helped a little. So bk to drawing boardI guess. Then this äm I've woken up with a swollen right hand. Y I don't know. But managed to get my special ring of u know the one I mean with a struggle. Xxxx
I have had it several times from my doctor Debbs, tablets were only on prescription, though you can creams and the crystals over the counter, the tablets are the only thing that will get rid of it, if it is a fungal infection, usually will be diagnosed by a chiropodist and they then get the prescription from a gp, you will probably need to come off contraception for 6 months, that is how long you take the tablets for, and blood tests to check they don't affect your organs. Lamisil are the only thing that works, those and snipping of the offending bits, satisfying for a wee while but not really recommended in the long term.
Hi Greekqueen . Thankyou for the advise but it's not a fungul infection as been to my chiropodist yesterday, &like you said he'd of know. Şo bk to drawing board, .xx
