Feet: I'm having some burning on the bottom of... - Pain Concern
Feet
Usually that is a result f nerve damage.
That sounds like what is known as neuropathic pain, that is pain caused by nerves thinking there is pain either because there is something irritating them or because they are mistaking a stimulus as pain when it isn't.
I had this when I was recovering from some nerve damage, and I just kept telling myself it wasn't pain, it was the nerve recalibrating my brain when it was stimulated.
My son had it too for for a long time and it was not triggered by anything particular. Eventually our GP put him on a low does of amitriptyline which is used for pain like this, and it stopped it.
Give it a few days to see if it resolves, and if not, see your GP.
I suffer from burning feet, usually my heals are affected the most. I find magnesium oil fantastic for the pain. I apply 3 times a week and never had the pain since. Also magnesium crystals in the bath are great for all over pain. It's cheap as chips so well worth a try . Hope this helps

Where do I buy magnesium crystals from please x
I buy mine from sainsburys. Usually £7.00 a bag. In the same section as the bubble baths. And lasts a good 5-6 weeks. Absolutely amazing stuff. Reduces nerve damage and eases pain much better than morphine in my opinion. Let me know how you go with it. I can also recommend magnesium oil rubbed directly on the source of pain. If I need it, I put it on when I go to bed, by morning, pain completely gone. Good luck 🤗 xx
Thank you Sarahk1000 I've just found your reply and when I next go shopping I'm going to get some of the crystals, I was wondering where to the magnesium oil from sorry to trouble if you could let me know where you get yours from many thanks valboot x
Thanks everyone
I get that on my heels it sometimes wakes me up its so painful .
Me too - gets me up and out of bed because only thing that stops it is walking on it.Around to 4am get to sleep if lucky.
Now I read on an American forum to eat blackberries and blueberries daily and when I did worked - does help along told to use B12 supplements which also helped a lot too.
Now I have had Cellulitis in both legs for 3 months, was in one, sent for a scan and ended up with it spreading to other leg, and even more acute within 48 hours, but told cant possibly be from scan as I suspected and still do! Got the liquid used to help wand over skin onto right leg (also cracked skin from swelling) via inpatient attendant 'helping' me so get on my knickers and onto both legs wetness.
Anyway, heel burning pain back now in full force last 2 days and its nasty. And GP told me only weeks ago to stop taking my B12 supplement daily and drop back to around 3 times a week. Reading your post having same type of pain and mine returning back to full on as it was earlier, reckon now, its the lower amount of B12 which has brought it back so much worse. Had been there for last few years or so but acceptable m woken up get up and became just an early riser and into lounge to sit in my lovely lift chair which helps the knee joints - and doze or watch early news before early start of my day. Pain used to hit earlier and earlier before got these hints re berries and B12. Didnt happen overnight but did bring down level of pain over time never been acceptable but.......liveable.
Thanks to you now I will go back to daily B12 as I haven't stopped eating the berries most days. Used to take them with 1/2 spoon of sugar but over the years left it off and nothing but raw berries with strawberries to help sweeten and a also source of Slow Vitamin K (potassium).( Bananas same but say can put on weight which i what I struggled to get off. )
Hope the berries and of course B12 if you try help.
Helped others in America which is where I got the suggestions and they worked for me too. B12 taken by way of capsules. Buy from Thompson's of Australia. Blood count came up as 945 which GP said a bit high but read here also on Pernicious Anemia (which I had as a teenager) that cant overdose on this either.
Hugs and dont let them get you down and arthritis is serious not just old persons disease. I take Sea Tone and have done since 1983 and reckon due to injuries to my left leg (one in big trouble now) it kept this old injury from flaring up and wish I had known sooner that arthritis attacks any old injury or overuse of a joint as we age, I think like Docs think we all know - so dont tell us. I'm convinced also I have Sea Tone to thank it didn't hit me earlier in life. Injury in Army in seventies. Told now road trauma injuries via sports etc all come home to roost in later life. So anyone with arthritis can if can eat shell fish, try Green lipped mussel extract they make, it worked for me still does wouldn't be without it. Kept much of the joint pain at bay for years.
