Well just as I suspected my MRI was fine, I felt like crying because I just felt like WHAT IS WRONG with me then can't be in this much pain for nothing and, nothing else they can do for me they said, except physio.

Can you not be referred to a pain clinic. Some times an MRI doesn't show everything. Mine was the opposite, my first MRI showed I had extensive problems in my neck 2yrs ago and now it's showing I just have the start of a bulging disc. WTF I have now contact the patient liaison people and emailed my letters. My most recent nerve conduction tests came back normal so the dr said I need psychological help. Not a happy woman at all.

Don't give up, it could be fibromyalgia, you could have M:E. always here if you need to rant

Thank you for replying I'm actually under the pain clinic and it was the consultant who said nothing else they can do, but I defo won't give up, they make u feel like ur a hypochondriac and hate that.

Trulysad-76 So, are the radiologists/consultants claiming that the disc/nerve problems have corrected without intervention? Or did you have a physical intervention of some sort?

I thought nerve conduction tests could comment on long fibres but not pain/problems that are related to short fibres?

I will definitely research this ITY regarding the nerve fibres x

It's many shades of horrid that the MRI didn't resolve anything for you - nor provide a clear management plan for you and the consultant.

Did the consultant mean that he can't think of any other diagnostic procedures but is prepared to work with you to find some way of managing the pain and impacts on your daily life?

The consultant said there is nothing more he can do for me, I've had a nerve blocker in back that didn't work, been on so many pain killers had physio for sciatica and now consultant is referring me for physio on back, just fobbing me of, u no wen ur not right and in pain, just want to no why ,I've changed job twice coz of the pain x
