I am 66 years old and have a bit of Osteoporosis Arthritis.

I had a TKR on the 5th December 2016.

Researched an read lots about TKR be for I had the operation but wow it's post op recuperation has indeed to say the least a bit challenging.

Still very positive and positive but it is quite a slog.

Best wishes, my old Dad needs one but as he's 80 recovery could be challenging to impossible. He's refusing the op, understandably and manages with cocodamol and resting as much as possible. He does however pop into town every single day to keep things moving.

He's an inspiration.

Hi. I think I would hang on to my own at 80. Having said that I read an 82 year old who was three years post op and said he was a new man again. It's a personal choice. Hope he does well whatever he decides. Take care.
