Torn meniscus ! URGENT

My uncle has torn his meniscus and we are in the USA... he has ibuprofen and is gonna get an op in the uk .. but we are going to New York and he suddenly can't walk.. he has crutches and even that hurts it even hurts to sit down ... any advice for stopping the pain? Any meds we can ask for in the pharmacy in the USA ? Thanks guys

I'd say tramadol for the pain. I've previously torn my cartialage and ruptured my ACL and these little buties did the trick for me. Hope he's feeling better soon

I agree with you, when my husband had this that's what he took or I know there's something called Advil in America that's an anti inflammatory( I have family in the USA and I'd forgotten my ibuprofen) ask in the pharmacy, they should advise.

Maybe try some over the counter pain relievers, but if that doesn't help, consider going to a doctor here in the states. Be prepared for your visit, bring any old prescriptions of what you were taking and are out of, some of the walk in doctors are reluctant to prescribe pain meds for anyone anymore. Thanks to all the abuse, now those that really need it find it very hard to get. Simply talk walk and Lord willing you will find relief. Blessings,

Thanks Hun .. the thing is he has hurt it out here .. so we don't really have anything with us .. we will go to the pharmacy and figure it out
