Sorry you're feeling so awful just now. I may not understand your specific pain, but I do know how constant pain is so difficult to cope with. 15 years of constant daily pain, that has worsened with accidents, more injuries causing even more pain, I can sympathise.

I presume you've gone through the usual meds, relaxation techniques & everything & anything you can think of to help?

I do hope you've managed some sleep by now (I haven't). Take care, I do hope today is better for you.

I am sorry and saddened you are in pain. I emphasized with no understanding. I am glad you are reaching out to us; bc we don't you to feel isolated. Pain flate out sucks.

I have found some Pinterest boards about my chronic psin that are sarcastic and tongue n' cheak. But, get the point across. I send them to the individuals who have a hard time understanding. Sometimes it helps. And it makes me laugh.

Pls let me know if there is anything we can do.

Ash

I have found an herbal powder that I use now, as with most docs, even the pain specialists are getting more & more limited on what they are "permitted" to Rx. All those who don't need the meds for real pain are being so limited by those who abuse, sell, etc.

I've been using Kratom powder, mixed in Chocolate pudding to help with the difficult times, especially when you can't sleep. Look it up on the internet, do your research & then decide. You don't have to use mail order, often carried by stores that sell herbal meds. This has helped me, I hope it may help you. Take care.

I know exactly how you feel...no one understands pain unless they've lived it day in and out over a long period of time. I can't sleep or move much when I'm in a flare...it's awful! Please let me know if I can help you but - also know that all that are on this site truly get you and won't turn a way from you in your time of struggle. Christy

Just seen your message.

Beautiful day out there and a bunch of us scary unwell.

Your posting is short.

Like many I have suffered low back pain too 10 years+

Sometimes it is necessary to change GP to find a sympathetic person. Unfortunately now with the cut backs it is difficult to get the investigation needed.

Many of us are still looking for answers including myself as not everything is straightforward.

All I can say is be your own clinician.

And push for help.'

It is very easy for the doctor to throw out pain medication and tell you are depressed .

Be strong and try to take control.

By posting this message gives me strength and I hope you may be able to help others too.

Sandra

Hi Ffuden. Of course no one understands your pain but most of us have experienced pain as bad and the struggle to deal with it. Perhaps talking about the causes of your pain and how you try to deal with it will help us understand it and how to respond to you.

I hope your pain has become more manageable since you posted

There is nothing to understand. Pain is only understood by those who are in pain.

Pain requires careful study by the person who has it. It requires investigation to see what makes it worse and what reduces it. Is it a muscle brain problem. Then you need to see an Alexandra Teacher. Drugs will not fix a muscle brain problem.

Is it a micro-cramp problem? Then a visit to a McTimony chiropractor will help reduce the problem. Drugs will not undo micro cramps even if the pain killer reduces the pain.

Is it an over contracted muscle problem? Over contracted muscles are painful. They need to stretched and this takes time and is a painful process. This suggests a visit to a skilled masseur or sports therapist who could stretch out some of these over contracted muscle. Yoga is a good discipline to take up. This helps with lengthening out muscle and enable you to network with other people.

Hope this helps.
