I had arthroscopic shoulder surgery but have been left unable to move it and am in extreme pain again. I had the capsule 'stretched' in X Ray department. But now I have to have a capsular release surgery. Can anybody give their opinion or their experience of this?

Hi, I've had a capsular shift 5 weeks ago but not a capsular release! When did you have it done? With mime the pain was bloody awful and took quite a while to settle! I hope you get sorted soon! X
I have not had the release yet. I will let you know after it has been done. I can't lift my arm now and have trouble using the steering wheel. I am an amputee as well so need my shoulders more to walk on crutches. I've been told it's adhesive capsulitis.
What is a capsular shift? Thanks for replying to my post.
I hope it goes really well for you, does sound important that you're fixed soon! They do say shoulders are very painful following surgery because of how many structures support the, and how much they can move! I've been immobilised so far, as a capsular shift tightens and moves the capsule to stop it dislocating when I lift my arm! Really hope you're sorted soon, let ,e know how you get on x
that sounds nasty how long are you immobilised for? Where a outs do you live I just wondered which hospital you are under. I live in Yorkshire. Good luck
I have not got a date for my op yet. If I don't hear by the end of this month I will phone his secretary. I live in Harrogate and I'm under Harrogate district hospital. Mr Talbot. He is very good and easy to talk to
