Well, the dreaded brown envelope arrived, 3 weeks after my ESA medical assessment. (on Christmas Eve!) I'm now officially in the Support Group! What a relief! That nurse who did the assessment was lovely and said that her recommendation was for the support group but until it's in black and white, there's always that nagging doubt & worry. She even said that due to the amount of evidence, letters, scans etc I had given her, that really there was no need for any long examination, just a 'going through' of the questions, although that in itself took an hour!
Still hoping for an appointment with the pain clinic this month, fingers crossed that'll drop through the letter box soon too! But at least that's one less thing to worry about for the time being, no idea when I'll be assessed next but can breathe more easily for a while anyway! 😊

Wonderful news when another gets to ESA support group. Didn't it say when you would be due another assessment - if ever?
Just been listening to facts and figures on how much DW{P are spending on assessments etc yet saving nothing. They still seem to think they can get square pegs into round holes - us being the pegs. Hit us hard enough and we all get miraculously better.
Anyway well done and hope pain clinic apt comes soon too
