2 nd Steroid Epidural.

I am having my 2 nd steroid epidural after 7 weeks after my first. The first one has helped a lot, what have people s experience have been with the second?

I've just had my 2nd as only got 2 weeks help from my 1st, am just 4 days since and severe pain has dulled but not enough to reduce meds yet. I would say try it as everyone seems to respond differently, have you had an MRI? I have bulging disc at Lumbar 4 pressing on my right sciatic nerve. Been told other option would be surgery.

I had my second epidural 3 months ago and the amount of pain I had while the steroid injection was being done I can honestly say was the most indescribable pain I have ever experienced. The injection had no effect whatsoever, however I have been left with no feeling from the knee down to the ankle of my right leg, completely numb. The surgeon, on the follow up appointment didn't really seem to care that much. I have now given up with the NHS and have accepted that I will just have to live with the pain and try to get on with what life I have left. Not a happy situation but I am at the end of my wits as to what to do. I wish you good luck as everyone reacts differently and you may have a better result than me. Will keep my fingers crossed for you.
