upper groin/leg pain
Can you think of anything that happened up to a week previous to this, that could have caused this? Something physical that you have overdone or awkwardly ? You may have thought nothing about it at the time.
I had the same problem and went to doctors who said the cause of the pain was my hip.I have o/a which is basically wear and tear and all i can do is have some physio and take painkillers. If you have this problem it should ease up but can then return,
Yes it sounds like you are describing hip pain when I get it I take ibuprofen for a few days and it helps. I actually had a hip replacement on the other side, the pain started the same way but that was many years ago and I am sure with anti inflammatory medication you can stave off anything that drastic
Start with seeing a GP. This is to check for the things that only a GP would know about. Then look f or a chiropractor to check for any muscle spasms that are causing the vertebrata to apply pressure to nerve roots.
An Alexander Teacher is worth seeing to learn to how engage in better muscle behaviour.
hope this helps.
The rheumatologist told me I have arthritis. Sent me to pt, and it was not better. Then they gave me exercises for the groin area and I was in awful pain. MRI showed tendonitis. Stopped all exercise. This was a few months ago and have had several injections in hip and groin. Am just now starting to be able to walk around the condo without "help." Outside, when walking to my car, I use a cane or walker. In the house I have a Rollator with seat which becomes a meal carrier, holding the plates and glasses "for me." It is so good to get out, but have to plan around where parking is-how far is the walk to the destination, e.g. First I was able to take four steps then stop and rest a minute, then 10. More now thank heavens. I do feel I am improving. Just had an MRI which showed stenosis in lower back. Can anyone tell me what that is and what NOT to do. HE is sending me back to PT but I only want to work on balance there. I can do mild stretching exercises at home.
