Have you been to a dentist and discussed it with them? They may refer you to a specialist at a dental hospital. Or you could ask your rheumy dept to do it.
You need your dentist to reffer you to the maxiliofacial department at your local hospital.
I was fitted for a mouth guard which I wear at night. It helps me stop grinding my teeth at night, which in turn helps the TMJ. It can still flare up though. I've had it for about 2 years now. I think my hypermobility syndrome may have something to do with mine though.
Try to eat soft food that doesn't need much chewing... Well cooked veg, steamed or baked fish, stewed fruit, etc..... You need your nutrients at a time like this, so try to eat good foods... Just mash them up.
Hope that helps a bit!

Imiprimine and amitriptyline (not together they are sister drugs) both help with the pain at a relatively low dose. 1 or 2 tablets.
I wear a moth gaurd at night which helps a great deal. I got it from an orthodontist. I was under care of maxilo too. They gave exercises. Hope that helps.
Please read Doctors' on B vitamins for any nerve pains. The vitamins take time to repair the nerves but be patient.I take B complex from a good company and b12 1000ugs.
