Sounds like you have a neuropathic pain issue, the indication that you could well have is if normal opioid pain killers have little effect, if this is the case then you will need to try one of the tricyclic drugs I.E Nortriptyline amitriptyline, you could also try Pregabalin or Gabapentin, Also Sativex will defiantly help but getting it might be a tad hard as it has a totally ridicules price tag of £500 a bottle but you could ask, one way they say you can get it is to get a pain clinic appointment and while your there ask for it, if they refuse tell them you intend to report them to the GMC for negligence they will normally prescribe it to shut you up, Personally I'd try to avoid the argumentative route but that said recently the NHS has said people should be more pushy to get the treatment they need so even they think you have a right to do so, one other way you can get a THC based neuropathic pain medicine is if you could manage to get yourself to Holland and then see a GP there get a prescription for Sativex or the much cheaper Bendocrone then bring it back to the UK theoretically you can bring 90 days supply with you, mind you this route isn't going to be easy for you due to mobility its also not totally fool proof as under the bizarre legal situation here right now its still illegal to possess any THC containing pain relief so Customs could take it off of you, but other pain suffers have done just that and not had any trouble with Customs even though they had informed them they would be coming into the UK with it. Other than that wait until 2015 or later and the law on medical THC/CBD medicines might well change seeming whats going on around our shores right now but thats a long time to wait when your in pain.

Get someone to check that they have put the hip joint in at the right angle. If the hip joint went in at the wrong angle you can get knee pain because the force from the hip joint is being applied to the wrong part of the knee. This can cause irritation and inflamed nerves - result pain.
