You need to talk to your GP about this, especially if you have any numbness in the groin area at all. Ask about a referral to a neurosurgeon, because they are the specialists who would deal with this. It does depend how long you have had this for too though, and whether its the result of an injury or has just come on by itself. Your GP is the best place to start though.
If it does get to the point where you are having trouble passing urine, or difficulty moving your legs, then get straight to emergency for assessment.
Hello BOB here
With this problem you will need to see your GP as this seems that it could be something that needs looking into, So I would advise you to see your GP. He will need to diagnose the problem here
Are you taking pain medications ? Could these be causing the constipation, Are you not taking medications ?
What side of the body are you having the pain. is it on the RIGHT HAND SIDE.???.
A suggestion only if above is correct place the thumb next to your belly button palpitate the four fingers on your right hand side groin . If this causes pain contact the NHS helpline
All the best

Hi angel
You sound to have similar symptoms to me a few weeks ago.
I was bent over looking for something under the sink, i straightened up and turned round and got the worst pain i've ever had! I was bent double by the pain and couldn't move. After a few mins of deep breathing i managed to cope walking to sofa. My son gave me icepak to try and ease the pain but didn't work.
I ended up in ambiance to a&e, xray results show a disk in lower back has squashed (as he put it) if painkillers don't work ask gp for mri scan. And sent home.
I have been seeing a chiropractor for 3yrs and got in nxt day, he checked everything and said yes i have got disk problem but the pain i had was caused by the iliacus muscle spasming, causing the pain round from back below the waist round to my groin and also a weird numb cold pain down the front outside edge of thigh.
I hobbled into his office on 2 walking sticks, he treated me monday and Wednesday and by the Friday the pain had totally gone!!
2weeks still not had it come back, i see him every 3weeks as i have hypermobility which means my double jointed to you and me, my muscles and ligaments afe too loose to hold my joints in place.
My knees and hips dislocate easily even just moving in a chair.
I'm sorry it is a long winded reply but not easy to explain. Put ice packs or frozen veg from base of back right round to and into groin for 20mins,
If it eases the pain then it is the same as i had and i would look for a good chiropractor, if it doesn't ease the pain see gp as it could be a disk problem.
Good luck and angel blessing to you xx
Try Homozon against the constipation. Flood your Body with Oxygen.
I have had lower back pain which has got worse as ive got older.Im 69.For the last year ive had a deep seated pain in my right groin. I cant feel any lump and its not tender but as soon as i stand up and start to walk the pain starts and i limp whilst putting weight on it to walk. I know it will go away but come back again but ive now had it constantly for 10 days and am taking mild painkillers which dont do alot. Ive had hip xrays and doc says i have some wear and tear in the hips but nothing can be done til it gets really bad so like you just have to carry on.Unlike your pain, im better when sat down.could yours be hip problems.?
