My 2nd check up went well on Wednesday morning ...
Oncologist was very pleased with my progress and although my bloods were not back he gave my tum a very good going over !
He was able to answer all my questions on the functions and sometimes non functions of my bowel and the reason why ..the things we talk about .......
I will ring or mail for bloods next week but he is quite happy with things at the mo .
Scan in July and then see him on the 17th for results .
This has been a little lift for me as have lost a very dear cousin last week so very suddenly .
John was very close to our family ..really hard to take it all in at the moment .
Have been out pounding the beat again with the posters and cards ..even in pub loos ....
Lets keep on going forward ladies ..
Love Jan xxxx

Oh Jan that is so lovely to hear, I know you've had it hard recently but lets hope everything picks up for you, not easy to deal with grief though.... especially when there's things going on as well...but I've missed you and you are in my thoughts and prayers as always lots of love x G x
Yes the good news was very much needed its not been the start to the new year we had hoped for with so much sadness and normally I bounce back but with being ill a few weeks ago and then the news about John has knocked me for six .
Thankfully the children at school keep me busy .....
What a lovely bit of news for you. I am sorry to hear about your loss, though. It's always a shock when these things happen suddenly. My thoughts are with you. I hope you will focus on having a bit of time to celebrate your good news with your family. Long may you keep getting good results
This does sound really good news from your oncologist. I'm sorry to hear at the same time that you've had such sad news with the loss of your cousin John. Sometimes it's really hard to make sense of it all isn't it. It's great you're back on the beat distributing those cards for Ovarian Cancer Month. We will never know but I'm sure there will be some women for whom those cards and information make all the difference in the world.
Than you Annie for encouraging words , I just need to try and get back to the positive me but with the sudden loss of John who was always there and larger than life its self and lit up a room not only with his size ..he was tall but his presence too , life has taken a dip at the moment .
I know how very lucky I am to have had a good check up this time so the need to spread the word is more vital than ever ..even in the pub loos ....
Love Jan xxxx
Hi Jan
Am so glad you had some good news to help balance the bad. Isn't this the way with life? Keep strong, well done for pounding the BEAT (there is a magazine article headline for awareness week if ever I saw one... Hmmm...)
Do hope you enjoyed your holiday ? could do with some sun here right now as its trying to snow as I write !
Its been raining all morning and now its turning to sleet ....
Thank you so much for your message .Life is just about the fact we have to take the good news and the bad almost in the same breath , very hard at times but only one way to go and thats onwards and upwards ...
First of all I'm so pleased your appointment went well, I'm sure your ca125 will be fine.
I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin John, it must have been an awful shock for you.
I have thought about you a lot as I have been in Norfolk all week. I hurt my back on Sunday and didn't feel up to the drive back with Howard so came back today. Funny to be so close but not know exactly where you live.
This year so far has been such a mix bag of good and bad news and seeing baby Ariah last weekend was such a tonic . So very sorry to learn you have hurt your back do hope you its a bit easier for you now .
We are never far from the coast here in Norwich until it moves further round to the North Norfolk coast which is stunning with its cliffs .
So sorry to hear about your cousin, it must have been such a shock for you all. Makes the good news even more powerful when sadness is around -sending you lots of hugs
