It is now six months since my last chemo and have now been told that I am not having a three monthly CT scan because it is 'making me tired'. Does any of this ring true to anyone?

I had to stop my oxyplatin chemo because of related colitis.Three monthly CT scans show the tumour as slightly shrunk but stable.
Yes it does ring true, (not the tiredness bit) but they don't like giving too many scans, as the risks outweigh the benefits, they usually wait for symptoms, best wishes love x G x
Hi Gwyn. Thanks for a prompt reply. I always get tetchy when I visit an oncologist;I always feel like having a meeting after the meeting because it's usually so much to take in.
Many thanks love Hx
Dear Stagehand
It's 15 months since my last chemotherapy session and I've only recently been offered a scan because my CA125 is rising. I agree with Gwyn they don't suggest doing these unless there's some reason to think there is a good reason to do so. It's not the cost, it's just it's not good to be subjected to too much radiation.
If you haven't been offered a CT scan I would take it as good news.
May this long continue. Love Annie xxxx
