Ovarian Cyst - Mixed solid and fluid

Hi there, I have in the past suffered with a functional fluid ovarian cyst which was drained via laparoscopy. I have a small cyst thought to be mixed and solid, will this need surgery or could it go away on its own? I know functional fluid ones often go away and this is small. Any experiences / opinions grateful!

Thanks Gwyn! sorry to hear it was cancer did they have to remove it find out? didnt it show up in the blood test? x

Hi!.... I did have an idea with the blood test... but what I meant is that I didn't know that it was solid and liquid untill after the op...but I have since had a recurrence.. I do know some people have a tendency to have ovarian cysts and they are benign they can tell...and they deal with it the same way as they have dealt with yours I didn't mean to scare you sorry love x G x ( read my ps above)

No it's ok! I appreciate the advice! Hope you are better now, we are pretty sure this is benign, I would just like to avoid surgery, single mum....no time to be ill! thanks very much x

It is best if they look into this even if it is small...mine was the size of a very large melon but I had it on two ovaries so was advanced... Try and look through the tags you might get info there love x G x :-)

Hi, I had a 3cm complex cyst on my right ovary in March this year and was fast tracked through gyny. I have also had lots of bloating and other symptons but my ca125 has been okay. Was put on watch and when I had a scan 4 months later it had gone, only to find I now have one on my left ovary so I have to have another scan in six weeks So it appears that they can go away on their own. I assume they are keeping a watchful eye you. Like you I am a busy Mum with no scope to be ill or have operations, but they have to do what's best for you. Try not to worry, believe me I know how difficult that is, but rest assured that there is a possibility of it going on its own. Best wishes to you. x
