I hope this is ok to post as I am only currently having a large cyst being investigated and waiting for my gp to get back to me, just feeling a little apprehensive.
At my first scan which diagnosed the cyst I was told it was a small fluid filled cyst which would probably go away by 12 week follow up scan.
I had the 12 week follow up scan and the cyst was still there and was bigger. I've had regular periods since.
I went for original scan due to severe abdominal pain during ovulation and bad bloating. At the same time my symptoms started, I got plantar fasciitis in my left foot (same side as ovary with cyst) and had it for about 9 months now, and not getting any better despite doing all the exercises given by podiatrist. I've got some ankle and lower leg swelling on left leg.
Has anyone with an ovarian cancer diagnosis had this? I am feeling worried it isnt just coincidence that both started at the same time as I've heard ovarian cancer can affect legs and feet?

Oh wow! I have this on my right foot and had ovarian cancer in my right ovary! A coincidence surely?? My GP knows about it and obviously knew about the OC 🤔 Jen
The PF I noticed first then after I got diagnosed I just got on with dealing the OC. After I recovered I then took advice on the PF. I was given exercises but that didn’t help.
I still have PF some days it’s worse than others. Like I said my GP is aware of both and hasn’t said anything. I’m in total remission for OC 🤞. Try not to jump to conclusions I’m sure it’s just a coincidence.
I am so glad you are in remission ❤️. If your doctor hasn't said anything to connect the PF with the OC then maybe it is just coincidence. I was just a bit apprehensive because they started at same time and are on the same side.
I had planter in my left foot but had oc in both ovaries but my left was the biggest tumour. The planter came after I started treatment and was bloody agony! I could barely put my foot on the floor in the night to go to the bathroom! I also had the exercises from podiatry, nothing worked. I did get relief from a frozen bottle of water and just rolling my foot against it with pressure and a tennis ball helps. I hope it passes soon. Mine has finally disappeared after 11months xx
Wow. Is this a thing? I've had terrible PF for the last few years. I've spent a fortune on different trainers etc and did all the exercises to no effect. I also get horrendous back muscle pain and was seeing a chiropractor for years.Interesting to know if these things are related.
Sorry to hear you have had a rough time with PF. I hope I am not worrying people by this thread, it is unlikely they are connected or if it's a thing. Just wanted to put it out there and ask.
