just had chemo again today after being sick all week from previous chemo. Lets hope it dont get worse. Looking on here for some positive people

My sympathies. Just keep believing that it will all get better and that what is making you feel so ill is actually making you better. There are a lot of women on here with more relevant experience than me, but I'm sure I've seen quite a few posts about anti-sickness drugs they can give you with chemo. Try typing sickness in the search box, you may find some more practical help. I just wanted to say, stay with it...it will get better.

Just take things as easy as you can and give yourself the rest that you need to beat this thing

i take anti sickness but they dont always work. now ive got diarea!! oh roll on next week. got a week off chemo

sometimes you do feel like giving up

but i wont i will keep going

Chemo is different for everyone, there are quite a few ladies on here that seem to have very litte sickness. I am unlucky that I get quite a bit of sickness with mine and thats even with the anti sickness drugs. I found Its best to take anti emetics even on the days I dont even feel sick as most of them are better at preventing sickness than stopping it once it starts! Its finding the right one for you is the tricky bit.

The tiredness is the most overwhelming thing I found, but that also gets better as the weeks go on, you just have to give yourself time.

If I am to make one suggestion that would be to advise you to keep a diary. It can be so easy to forget the good days when you are having a difficult time.. keeping a diary would remind you that there are better days to come

a diary is a good thing as when you are so low you cant see the good days.

been threw 6 courses of carbo taxol last year and new after the first bad week i felt better the next two. but this chemo seems really hard as have to have gemcarbo on day one then day eight just gem then i get a week off then start all over. dont feel i have time to recover!

ah well only 4 more session to go lucky me

Sorry about you being sick what chemo are you on ??I was on carboplatin,taxol and now Caelyx and havent been sick with any chemo am I just a lucky one ??Do you take your anti-sickness tablets you get ?? Marge xx

I was sick on carbo/taxol last year until i found a certain anti sickness tablet that actually work.

Im back on those again now so cross fingers they work again.Its not the usual ones that the hospital give out.

Im glad you had a better time than i did. Keep well and keep positive
