Well today I was back in the Oncology Department after my last treatment 6 years ago. I had been having some concerning symptoms so contacted the Oncology Team. I had an amazing response and was seen promptly with blood tests and a full body CT scan being carried out within 2 weeks. Today I receveived my results I am still in remission. I have issues from my previous surgeries that will be dealt with but I am currently still cancer clear after 6 years.!! I am so grateful to the amazing NHS and all my family and friends that have, and still, support me. Merry Xmas everyone, I will be having a great one albeit on a very restricted diet!!!!! I was stage 3b in 2017 so I hope that this gives hope to anyone newly diagnosed. It’s been a tough journey but I’m still here and looking forward to life x x x

That is just fantastic news. So wonderful and in time for Christmas. I would be interested to know if you felt like sharing regarding the diet you are on. Absolutely no pressure if you don't feel comfortable sharing; I completely understand.

it’s a 4 step bowel obstruction diet. Step 1 is clear fluids only, step 2 thin liquids, step 3 smooth puréed low fibre foods, no bread products and step 4 soft sloppy low fibre foods. No bread products. There’s detailed info on foods for each step. It says it’s only to be used under the care of a registered dietician and I had a 45 mins consultation on how to use it. Fingers crossed it helps 🤞
