Hi Saintgermain, I am no expert and particularly not on low grade but that sudden leap is suspicious, usually a recurrence would follow a sort of step by step trajectory. I do wonder if the lab has got it wrong or perhaps there’s some inflammation causing the blip?
Worrying for you but keep pushing for an explanation and hang on to those rather lovely scan results xx
They ran another CA125 yesterday got the results this morning 514. I agree with you it usually wouldn't leap like that I have been having vague upper abdominal pain and have severe lumbar spinal stenois which has been acting up recently which could cause the pain in the pelvic region. Can't thank you enough. I'll keep you posted! Hugs from Chicago
It can be a worrying time, can't it, waiting for answers? I completely get it. Got the T-shirt!
You sound like you're already doing the obvious things, repeat bloods, PET scan, etc. Also remember that the CA125 test can be elevated for other reasons, not necessarily because of a recurrence, so try not to worry ( I know!). But if it is, you got through it before, you'll find that strength again and remember we're all here for you.
So funny got the T-shirt love it! Thank you for your encouragement unfortunately this isn't our first rodeo I think a lot of us want to be that percentage that it never returns onward and upward love you Gals on this site. Hugs from Chicago!
Hi Saintgermain, I know the waiting is the worst but if there is recurrence the Pet scan is a more detailed scan than a Ct scan so will either show whatever is causing the rising of your CA125 or show its nothing to worry about, hopefully its the latter. Good luck & 🤞
Hopefully a lab mistake. Mine was rising and we were clueless why. I then had a PET Scan and one of my previously dormant tumors had grown. Can you get a PET Scan just in case? It’s an early detector.
