Good morning ladies! Wow, I just had a shock. I’m currently on Doxil and Avastin. Had my first Pfizer vax on 3/4, then my lab draw on 3/11. My CA125 had been 74 and dropping. I just looked at my labs and my CA125 has spiked to 104. I feel strongly this is die to the vaccine and will put the second dose off until at least after my next lab draw this Friday. Has anyone else in active treatment had a vaccination with similar results?

Covid vax and ca125
Hi, my mum's increased straight after the vaccine and for a couple of weeks and then went back down again. Xx
What number was before covid vaccine and what after my mom have raise from 19 to 220 ca 125 after pfizer vaccine,,, we are shocked
I was in treatment with Doxil at the time, my ca125 was 70, went up to 109 which the test was done about two weeks after the vax. Im going to include a link to an article, it has no info about ca125, but very interesting. My ca125 is currently back to 70, still high but still in treatment.

Read this before. My scan showed lymph nodes highlighted that were ok before they think this maybe because of vaccine. It is worrying so lets hope everything settles down. My CA125 result hadnt come back so speaking to my oncologist next week so will see then. Think there maybe a couple of posts on here about this. Keep strong x
There are a couple of similar post but they don’t indicate if they are in active treatment. I have been very curious. I have put off my scan for a month. Thank you so much for your response. Cant find this info on the internet, so up to us to survey 😊
A good idea. A radiologist report from US suggest not to have imaging done, other than for first diagnosis, until all vacs done and wait at least six weeks. Might have seen ca125 reports on other groups. X
Yes mine started rising after the first pfizer jab in February. Also started getting some pain in the small of my back which I have not had since first chemo session started shrinking things. The pain has gone now so hope C125 settles again. Awaiting latest blood results to see where it is now. (Have my second jab in May.) I am also sure this was due to the jab because various OV symptoms started two days after it, although most have gone now.
Thank you so much! Please update when you get your next ca125 if you don’t mind.
Will also let you know when I have my CA125
hi, thats interesting, I had my Jab after surgery and during my follow up chemo, its a few weeks ago now and last CA125 was down to 19 just starting anti cancer drugs now and am due 2nd Jab in may. had no other side effects apart from a sore arm for half a day. hope all goes well for you.
Sorry can not answer your question it was quite a while since I had Avastin which at the time work for me also I have my first jab of the oxford vaccine with no side effects
Hi I've had both jabs Pfizer. My CA125 is still going down started at 416 now at 13. I felt hot for 2 days nothing else. I'm now on 8 th round of chemotherapy. Should of had operation but because of covid this is still in the air!! Good luck
Thank you for responding! I’m sorry they’ve put your surgery off. But glad your CA continues to drop. This covid is really limiting our oncology services Do you mind sharing what chemo cocktail you’re on?
Yes I will get my file out and let u no. I no covid has had such an enormous effect on so much of the 🌎. Im scared but hopefully I can get operation. I'll check and get back to you. 5 mins.
Anxiety can be killer too. You raise interesting points wrt to vaccines and your chemo. One wonders if all the vaccines cause the same side effects. First rule is to talk with your Oncologist and mention your concerns. You may also want to talk with your GP regarding the vaccines. Remember that most chemos work by attacking cells - they are cytotoxic rather like snake and spider venom. Vaccines usually work by introducing antibodies into your system. It is possible that vaccines fight against the chemo. Avastin IMHO is a chemo that just keeps you in your present state rather than attacking the cell growth around cancer. You can be grateful you are on NHS in UK as it costs about 6-7 times more than taxols per infusion. Next rule is that this disease is not predictable. You will have spikes in your progress. Hard to be patient with the treatment but you have to hang in and remember you are doing this not just for yourself but your family.
Well i am shocked too, my mom have remisson since 2017 and now after pfize ca 125 rise from 19 to 220, and we dont know yet is it progress or pfizer!
Well that was progress
