Increased Ca125 and ascities

Hello all. I'm still scared my Ca125 has risen and after a recent short hospital stay due to salmonella, diarrhoea and vomiting, a scan showed the ascities has returned. After a total hysterectomy and debulking surgery last year, I didn't think ascities could come back. This means the tumours must have grown or spread.

I'm having a CT CAP tomorrow. I dread the results. 😟

I’m sorry it’s back. I’m in chemo for first recurrence—only had 8 months remission. It is scary but I try to live one day at a time. It’s hard to find any silver lining except that Carbo caelyx is easier after one treatment than frontline was. Just think about how many women on here have done so much better than the odds and new treatments come up all the time. Sending hugs.

Oh my goodness! I am so sorry. That is not news that anyone wants. I hope that with the possibility that there are other reasons for ascites and increased CA125 that they may find nothing. However, just in case, - massive hugs for support and hope .
