I was left with an incisional hernia above my belly button after debunking surgery. It used to ‘burn’ and feel very uncomfortable, especially after doing too much or needing the loo. I also had a visible bulge in my abdomen.

I had it fixed but immediately developed another one at the edge of the fixed area. The same symptoms - bulge in tummy, burning and uncomfortableness (slightly relieved by pushing it back in again).

Have you had it checked out?

No I mentioned it to my CNS and she changed my appt next week to a face to face. But since Wednesday the symptoms seem worse, the cramping burning pain mentionu above and really red patches on my knees and lower leg which are hotter than the rest of my legs!I don’t know if I feel worse because I’m seeing someone ot not!

I am being treated for 2 DVTS in my left thigh and this is the same side as the lump.

Thanks for your help xxxxx

Yes, I have had one for about four years now. It doesn't give me any problems, so am leaving well alone. Apparently the mesh used to repair it can make any further operations more complicated.

Thankyou xI’ve spoken to my CNS and she contacted the oncologist and will have a f2f appointment next week. To stop niraparib until then and take photos of the rash to show her.

I’m really disappointed I’ve had to stop as I already been on avastin but had to stop that due to 2 DVT’s in my left thigh.

Hi. A third of women after hysterectomy cancer or not get a hernia. Frequency it's an incisional or eventraction hernia one the navel. It's because no one explains that muscle has been cut and will forever remain less elastic than before. A hernia appears you can feel it. I have 2 inguinals now firmy sewn in place they are raised slightly shaped like a small hot dog. They occur if you have stretched or lifted too much and they pop out. A strangled hernia is hugely painful and needs to be operated on asap in the emergency room. Good luck from paris

Thankyou. I’m going on Thursday to get it checked. Mine is quite low down, near the pubic bone and I’m not sure if I can feel another one or if it’s bowel! They are quite tender but I think that’s because I keep poking them to see if they are still there😂

In france they recommend abdominal brace for 4 to 6 months after surgery. I to this day only wear control pants to help keep things in place so to speak

I’m having my two incisional hernias repaired tomorrow. I’ve managed the pain by lying down after eating of drinking so far. I’d rather it wasn’t using mesh but it’s needed so I just hope if I need further surgery I can have it. Good luck with yours. Mine could only be diagnosed by my lying down and coughing. One onc thought it was scar tissue. A x

Thankyou, hope all goes well for you xxI think mine might be femoral, really bulges when I stand, but nothing lying down. I think it’s squashing my femoral vein which is where my DVT is just for added fun🙄

My mom was given option to have hernia repair with a secondary debulking. Here's is large, surgeon said he would do it with 3mesh layered approach, taking fascia from sides. Big surgery. She's still on the fence. Anyone had it done that way? I worry about complications, infection, and will this cause cancer to grow back, is the possible?

Thanks 💕
