Hello... I would definitely mention this to your team. It does take a while to recover and I had occasional pain as part of the process but only momentarily...so if this is regular or sustained you should tell them xx
Hi. There. I have on and off pain and discomfort from debulking in both 2017 and 2019. As nothing is showing up on scan or CA125 (So far) they say it is scar tissue and can go on forever. I suppose like old war veterans say their shrapnel is playing up years later. Take a paracetamol if it’s bad I find if I don’t have a pain I forget to worry so much. Still query it of course. X
Hi I would say definitely normal. When I mentioned same pains to my consultant he said it’s to be expected with such a huge operation & so many parts inside having been pushed out of place it takes a long time for everything to settle down.I still have stitch like pains 18months after and told that it’s scar tissue but always mention anything your worried about then you can relax and get better! Hugs Dee X
Hi, It could well be recovery twinges but I had bad back pain on one side and kept ignoring it, assuming it was post surgery related but it was actually a big abscess on the liver which needed draining. So, in hindsight, I would have checked it out earlier.Best wishes to you. x
Yes. This is normal. Especially in the early days and it’s scat tissue.
Did you have a physical, in person post operative check up six weeks after your surgery, and did you mention this to them at the time ? Or were post op check ups another thing that took place at a distance rather than in person due to Covid... Have you had any scans since your surgery? If no, and they don't know about it, you do need to tell either the surgical team or the oncologist and get it checked out. Its probably nothing, but it should be checked as its only 8 weeks since your surgery, especially if it started within a few days after the surgery, just in case...
