Always a bit unsure about posting good news because I'm aware that there are ladies not so lucky ,I love hearing good news ,it gives me hope ,so I hope this will do the same for others .I had a phone consultation today with results after my third of six chemos , my CA125 is down from 150 to 34 and scan shows a shrinkage in peritoneal nodules ,so treatment is working. Just had fourth chemo so two to go ,feeling very relieved.

Great news.So pleased for you. I think sharing good news here helps many of us to feel more hopeful. Jo 🌺🌼🌸🌻🌹
Hi Jo how are you doing too? I know you had a particularly tough time a year ago? X
Hi. That’s kind of you to ask. I’m ok at the moment. It’s now over a year since I stopped treatment and with the help of the palliative care specialists at my local hospice have been living as well as I can. Since a second ascites drain in October, drugs have kept it at bay though I think it’s starting to develop again. I have days when I’m very weary but manage to prepare meals for my son and me and potter, doing little jobs. I just rest for quite long periods, amusing myself with novels, sudoku, solitaire and the newspaper. How are you doing at the moment? Jo
I'm a bit rough today ,always kicks in on fourth day after chemo , pleased you're managing the best you can ,sounds like you're in good hands ,wishing you well and sending love to you .xxCheryl .
Hi Jo I'm so glad that you are enjoying time with your son and living life best as you can in difficult times too. It seems you have a good team caring for you. I'm not too bad had my first recurrence in March last year and had caelyx carbo but not NED although I had a good response to the chemo. Went on Rubraca after but by platelets crashed been off parb for about 4 weeks but had bloods done today and now ok so should be able t go back on them shortly. Onc Telephone consultation tomorrow. Just see how it goes and take it from there and try to stay positive. I wish you all the best going forward Jo and I think you are do brave and an inspiration to us all. Love June.xxz
Hope all goes well with your phone consultation. I had the same problem with niraparib a couple of years ago but it had only just been approved for use and was paid for with special funding and when my bloods crashed badly after about four weeks, my onc stopped the treatment with no question about going back on. They should have much more experience now. Staying positive is a great goal for all of us, not always, or even often, achievable but good when it happens. Love Jo xxx
What a great way to start 2021. Think we all love hearing good news as it gives hope. X

Yes, Fendweller, I like to hear good news too.
It’s wonderful to hear that your CA125 is coming down, hopefully it will continue to drop (mine dropped from 559 to 9 after my surgery and 1st line chemo😁).
Thank you for posting,

Hi Cheryl, so happy that you are doing well. It’s really wonderful that our chemo keeps that cancer at bay. The side effects aren’t so pleasant, but you are a warrior for sure. Take care, Donna 😊

Thats brilliant news. When i first got diagnosed 12 months ago i came on here and also looked at a few other places to see what info, support and guidance i could get from other ladies fighting OC ...well everywhere i looked was bad news, no positives and i was so frightened but i stayed here as i felt even though there was bad news i also saw the good news, i saw so much strength and fight and the info i needed to get me through this and to ask my gyno/oncologist questions i wouldnt of thought to ask....so yes to see good news helps alot of us..to see the bad news and ppl fighting so hard also gives us the strength to fight too. X
Thank you, Its a fantastic site ,helped me a lot , After my high I'm struggling with foot and leg pain ,always happens day 4 for a few days after chemo ,GP had prescribed stronger pain relief ,so should help .The fight goes on .xxCheryl.
