Stage 4 anyone

Both sets of doctors have recommended chemo first so off I go

It might be stage 4 In my lung lining so they want to do chemo first

Anyone else have this and how are you?

Hi Again,

The treatment plan you are getting is the same that I am having. The chemo before surgery helped the surgeon so much because it took the hard work away for her. There was nothing for her to scrap because it was all gone, so she literally just had to remove organs.

With the fluid in your lungs, there would be no change in treatment as what you are getting now.

Hope all goes well...

Shelly

Hi Shelly

You are right . Just felt defeated today

Think I had mentally prepared myself for surgery and now back to chemo /surgery/chemo route

I had such a bad case of COVID hospitalized that anything near my lungs scares me a lot

I worked here in NYC thru the whole Covid thing as I work on things for Public safety so we are essential employees

After I recovered in MAy I felt good lung X-rays were clear etc n one even thought

Of cancer

Then June I get this cancer and now my lung area might have it

I guess it just all overwhelmed me today

But I will stay the course as my kids are counting on me and I can’t let them down

Just scared

Hi Supermary. Thanks for your service during the worst of the pandemic in NY! It’s sounds like you’ve been through some rough times. The chemo should take care of the lung problem if it’s fluid. Take care of yourself.💛

Hello Supermary

Don’t despair! I had 4 chemo at diagnosis for stage 4 and was then able to have optimal debulking (it had previously been wrapped tightly around my bowel). Two more chemo and Avastin saw me into remission and then I had 4 lovely years cancer free. I have just had my first recurrence but I can’t fault my first line treatment and because I had such a long period of remission all treatment possibilities were again open to me this time round xx
