TNkit. I’m 69 and just diagnosed OC 3b. I start Carbol Taxin (sp) next week. It’s good to know I am not alone. I am pulling for you!

You've come to a great place full of support, advice, encouragement, and virtual hugs by so many women brought together by this disease. I am 3b also and still here and kickin' 5 years after diagnoses. Ask us anything and we will try to help. All the best! Jill

Thanks Neona. I thought I would have more time to recover from surgery before chemo. My surgery was June 22nd and chemo starts July 8th. One day of chemo every three weeks until I complete six rounds. My daughter has learned to give me my daily injection of blood thinner. She’s being very brave.

Welcome to the Forum. I am a few months behind, diagnosed in March, and just finished 4 rounds of chemo. The chemo wasn't as bad as I had feared. Not easy but you'll get there, hopefully, and without the bad side effects. The oncology nurse and the chemo nurses are usually very good and they'll explain to you the process and what to do/not to do. Good Luck!

Take it one day at a time. Lots of bumps in the road but you probably will have more good days than bad ones. Stay positive, it is not a pleasant journey but it is better than the alternative.
