That is within the Normal range. What did your doctor say the next step is?

The CA125 for a first time needs to be looked at in conjunction with a scan etc for a diagnosis of CA, . It is not used in isolation, as a number of things can cause a rise, e.g a cyst. The normal scale is however below 36.

Try not to worry too much, though I can understand how you feel - any urgent referral is scary, but at least your cyst is being taken seriously; many women struggle to get referrals. 19 is well within normal range (and I'd be delighted with that result), but CA125 results vary widely from person to person and can be affected by other conditions that cause inflammation, not just OC, and for some it isn't a reliable marker at all. When you see the gynaecologist, let them know how you're feeling. Make a list of the questions you want to ask - it's all too easy for appointments to pass in a blur when you're anxious - and if you want to, take a note of what you're told. Have someone go with you to the appointment, so there is someone else who can remember what's said. Wishing you all the best. x

Thank you for you response!

I can’t help but worry I’m so scared I’m also having symptoms where I’m peeing constantly, and issues with bowels although I’ve always suffered with Ibs. I have no bloating if anything my stomach is smaller through stress, I can’t even go to work as I’m so worried please everyone pray for me x

Your ca125 is great! Under 35 is normal for all woman.mine was in 1400's...stage 111 ovarian cancer. They will probably still have to remove your sist but you don't want to keep it anyways.take a really deep breath...breath again.now be strong by doing what you need to let them remove this and get you well again.

Be strong ❤

Hi there, I would say that your CA125 is normal ( mine is 18) and that your complex cyst may well be a benign one. My friend’s daughter had a complex cyst removed which turned out to contain hair and skin and was simply removed with no other treatment.

It’s good that you’re being thoroughly checked however because should it turn out to be anything else, it will be caught and treated early.

I would also say that at 25, you’re less likely to have OC., though of course anything is possible.

Let us know how everything goes and wishing you lots of love and luck.

You poor thing. I know how scared you must be! The waiting is the worst part.

Cysts are common. Your CA is well within range. I’m impressed that you had the test. So many of us were never tested in our youth. The typical age for ovarian C is late 50s. We are all here to talk about it since we have the advantage of so many new treatments.

You will be fine. I’m not a dr , but, I’ve seen and read plenty on this subject. Yours will be a quick fix so you can move on with your life.

Stay off the internet as it mostly has obsolete statistics. When I was first diagnosed 5 yrs ago, I nearly had a heart attack from reading up on this.

Stay busy this week and try to calm down. I know it’s hard. Please keep us posted.
