This sounds like a very interesting, hopeful and terrifying opportunity.

I assume this surgery is meant to unstick your organs and get at the cancer that is stable, but still lurking.

Wishing you the very best for your surgery and recovery.

Be brave🙏🏼

Hi Bobbyo1

This sounds really encouraging for you. I wish you well. I think we would do anything to get rid of this awful disease. I’m in Norfolk/ Suffolk too. Been attending James PAGET/ Norfolk and Norwich but now at Addenbrookes. I hope you get all your questions answered. Please let us know what the outcome is and what you decide. Best wishes Margot 🙋🤞

Just to say my operation will not go ahead as they had told me when I went to addenbrooks for some tumour that was removed from my otemum the first time 5 years ago that it was too risky to do a debulk the professor agreed when she found out why with the little information she was given she did not realise that I am a neutropenic and have been before I was diagnosed and had nothing to do with the chemo also I have epilepsy and it would not make any difference to my cancer so it would be better not to break what not broken and if needed to go down the chemo route as it will be much safer so back to my consultant that referred me all she had sent was an a4 piece of paper so professor had my blood taken to look at as she also asks about platelets and numbers which I was not sure of will keep you informed thanks for you replys

Sorry you had to make the trip for nothing, but I guess you now have more knowledge of your condition. Good luck with your treatment options. You didn't mention whether you had a friend or partner with you for the consult? I found that I needed someone else there who would remember what the doctor said because I was always overwhelmed.
