Last weekend feeling a little bit off colour nothing much this developed into full scale pneumonia very rapidly with nasty rashes up both forearms . So have been in the cancer wards while the drs trying to isolate which bug it was. So having wide range of anti viral antibiotics anti fungus (!!) IV On oxygen 8 days , feeling v unwell. No appetite of course and overall sad. And disappointed really,

I was doing well for 18 weeks near the finishing line for last few chemos . Now my onco dr says the Taxol has accumulated and is affecting my body negatively so best to stop now. Before the end .

On the good side I’m off oxygen after 8/9 days , fevers stopped , and iv stopped this morning . Am weak as a kitten but will try short walks again this morning.

How unpredictable everything is . What else can turn everything upside down ??

Oh Denizt , the one thing we can absolutely rely on with this disease is its unpredictability .I read on here of some having the same treatment as myself , same diagnosis yet doing infinitely better than I and some doing worse .How come ? .Who knows why the Taxol has decided to work against you but you are in the best place , your appetite will return soon and when you regain your strength I am sure your team will talk you through options .In the meantime sending you lots of love and a big virtual hug .xxx

How are you Jules? Update from here the pneumonia heading for the hills and I’m going home feeling rather pleased !

Have met some amazing and humbling women warriors here and although it’s been hellish and scary at. times The staffhave been fantastic . I’ve had every test known to mankind and every drug available that finally have worked!

Love and best wishes

Oh gosh! What a horrible turn of events. I'm glad you are finally feeling a little better today, and that you are off the oxygen. It's been a beautiful day by me today, so I hope that maybe you were able to see some sunshine and get some fresh air. When I was in with my bowel obstruction, my husband took me out in a wheelchair for a walk every day so that I could get some fresh air.

Sending lots of love, Vicki x

Hullo Yoshbosh . Thanks for your message

And pleaSed to report after 9/10 days pneumonia kicked into the touchline and off oxygen ready to go home !

Another hurdle down . How are you today ? It’s predicted more sunshine here in Bournemouth. I’m as weak as a newborn kitten but will be working on driving to the beach and looking at the sea!

X love from Denise

Hi Trathi . How are you today ? I’m pleased to report after 10 days the pneumonia has headed for the hills I’m off oxygen and will be going home. I’ve met some amazing women in this cancer ward and each one has had their own battle but there’s no doubt a camaraderie exists amongst all of us which gives us strength .I’ve been swearing a lot out of earshot ! And with no appetite I must have lost a few pounds !

Anyway like the grand national there’s one horse limping along stumbling over the jumps but still running !

Love from Denise x
