Ok so last week I had a scan, this week I got the results.

The avastin as stopped working after 12 lots, the nodule in my chest as grown to 1cm, it was 4mm, my ca125 is 120 it was 72 in January the scan also says that there as been a change in the top of my diagram that they are suspicious about, I asked the oncologist what that means she said that that’s all they wrote on the report, so no more avastin and to go back in 5 weeks for a ca125 to see what’s happening.

Went home and had a good cry felt sorry for myself the next day and thought sod it and booked a mini break to Majorca go on the 11 may so best start packing. Xx

Hope everyone is feeling good today the sun is at last shining x

Hi sweetie. Know just how you feel, having had the same told me yesterday. But, onward and upward as they say and I'm sure there's something else to try for you. Please don't give up. Crying is good though. Holiday is better so enjoy yourself. We are heading off to UK same day as you. You will have sun and sangria, we will probably get rain and ribena. Take care xxx

Sorry to hear your in the same boat as me it’s shitty, pardon the language.

Hope the weather is good for you it’s meant to be picking up.

Only finished chemo in September for first line was hoping for a little longer but as you say onward and upward x

Have a lovely time in uk.

Yeah. I finished January and now got larger resident tumours plus one or two new nodes on top of peritoneum and new lymph activity. CA up by 26 points. Doesn't sound a lot but in the wrong direction it means everything. Here's hoping you get a new regime quickly. I started again today. Sorry, but they are a bit quicker to get things going over here. I just wish UK was the same. You'll get there. Much love xxxx

Hi I’m sure it will,I’ve been on it since September so it did some good.

Feeling a lot better today, it’s the shock when you feel better than you have in ages and then they tell you it’s on it’s way back.

I know what you mean. When my recurrence was ‘suspected’ last summer, I’d strolled into my routine appt feeling the best I’d felt in ages, expecting to just have a quick chat and be sent on my way. Fate had other things in store that day... 🙄

I waited another 4 months before starting treatment, so I hope you can have a bit longer before you need to do anything. Big hugs x

Good for you booking that holiday!! I also got shite news last week (6 months of chemo hadn’t worked ) and you might find I’ve smuggled myself into your suitcase too!!😂😂

But seriously - you will come back refreshed and clearer in the head and know what is best for next steps - you sound like you’ve got courage and ‘gumption’ as my old mum would have said!! 😘

Lol feel free to smuggle your self in suitcase, I will enjoy my mini break and just got my appointment through to see oncologist on the 4 June so I will enjoy this time off treatment as well.

Sorry you had lousy news and the next step will work for you.

Trish xx

Hi .Like the other ladies sorry you are now facing treatment again, enjoy your break and remember there are options my oncologist told me in just the last couple of years with new trails and chemo she is seeing people live longer .

I'm a example when I was diagnose we were told I would not see the year out I'm still here 4 years on and hope to be here for some time. Keep up your positive mood but have a little cry if you won't.. Take care Lorraine xx
