Hiya my name is Linda and I am 9 months post radiotherapy after a hysterectomy and chemo for ovarian and separate uterine cancer. I have had CBT counselling but this doesn't work for me. I have urge incontinence as well and need advice apart from pelvic floor exercises and medication. Any advice gratefully received. Thank you.

Problems after treatment
Hi there! I attended a support group at my hospital and one of the talks we had was from the ‘wee’ lady. Although we found it funny at the time it really was informative and there seems to be a great deal they can do to help with stress incontinence. So I would urge you to badger your hospital to do more for you. The same Macmillan centre which ran the support group also offered free counselling-so that could be a way to go? Best of luck xx
Oh how I sympathise and am glad to realise it’s not just me that constantly pees. I even had to go three times during chemo, same as you hysterectomy, followed by brachytherapy and halfway through chemo. I long for a night sleep ut several trips to the loo. Keep smiling ooenit gets sorted.
Hello Linda, you have my sympathy! I have found the always discreet pants helpful, there are other brands you may prefer (most chemists) and place a further incontinence pad inside them for added security. It sounds bulky but it isn't. You can also send away for a pack of water proof pants which are washable so much cheaper and do the same thing with them, this is what I plan to do. I have seen them advertised in these small magazines such as coopers or Scott's of stow that you sometimes get free in the newspaper.
Hope this help
Good luck,
love
