🌺Hi, can't have Acrylic Nails whilst on treatment but at least I can do my own nails and I must say they're growing well so I may not go back to Acrylics!🌺
🌺Nails whilst on Chemo!🌺: 🌺Hi, can't have... - My Ovacome
🌺Nails whilst on Chemo!🌺
I found I had ‘chemo ridges’ on my nails - I could count my rounds of treatment based on the lines it created across my nails!
Interesting.... I always had mt acrylics on during chemo.
Hi BB1, why couldn’t you have acrylics? I am about to have them, (for my husband’s special birthday) but am (just) on Avastin.
That pink is very nice! 🌸🌸
My mom and I have always had extremely brittle and thin nails. Ironically, front line chemo made moms nails strong as nails. They were healthy, strong, and long. Actually, it was during front line chemo when she got her first manicure (non-acrylic) because she knew her nails would finally hold up to have them done!
Mom has been using her hands a lot more during second line (as she's back to working full time) so they aren't as long. However, I still think they are 'stronger' than her pre-cancer diagnosis nails - strange.
I do have to admit, I am a bit envious of her nails - mine are still fragile and brittle - ha.

Interesting isn't it? As before I had acrylics my nails tended to break too, but I've since found whilst on chemo after recovering from the weakness caused by long term use of acrylics that my nails are indeed strong! Therefore I figured I'd save money on getting them done whilst on treatment - a positive!xxxDawn!🌺🐞
