This is just my usual six monthly update to let you know my CA125 is still 8. It's been 11 years now since I was diagnosed stage 3C so as you can imagine I'm very pleased to have got this far. I wish you all the very best for the future and hope this gives some of you hope. xx

That's absolutely wonderful news, so very happy for you. I know we can do this lm 7 years into the journey. Sending love & big hugs long may it continue long may it continue. Sheila fxxx
Thank you. I had surgery first. A very long operation to remove the tumour which had stuck to my bowel. I then had 18 weekly doses of chemo and a scan. That's it. No maintenance. I don't know if they had it then. One stay in hospital with a bowel blockage and no recurrence. I've been very lucky and wish everyone else the same. xx
Unfortunately, after four and a half years NED after finishing chemo, I have a recurrence; starting chemo this Friday.
In top of this, my husband is in hospital until he can be transferred to a nearby care home for his early onset, advanced Dementia.
I just can’t look after him anymore. I think I’m more devastated about this than the cancer.
However, got to go for it and get well again so that I can visit my husband and take him for walks and lunches and hopefully a few special things for myself.
Life is so precious.
So, so happy you’re doing so well, hopefully I’ll be NED again in February!
So sorry to hear this Denise. You've come through it once and you'll do it again. You sound positive and strong.
Sorry also, to hear about your husband. I know how upsetting this is but I'm sure you'll be up and about soon and visiting him just as you want to. It's something to look forward to as well. It's just not fair that you have all this on you at once.
I wish you all the very best with your chemo and please keep me informed how you're getting on. Private message if you want to.
I'll be thinking of you and sending a big hug. Love Zena xx
I think the immense stress of the last 9 months hasn’t helped, though dear Geoff couldn’t help what happened to him. He was the best husband I could ever had wished for.
All is well thanks Zena, still on Olaparib trial nearly 11 years on. My Onc believes I am actually cured. I’m still taking the pills tho lol. Totally get your comment about ‘another language’, I’m not on here much tbh. Take care xx
aww fab news, well done! Without jinxing anything, I'm 7 years this month, albeit with some recurrences, but not giving up! Currently on a trial, so got everything crossed x
