My gyn/enc actually used the words "cancer free" to me on Friday! Being stage 3C I know it can be temporary but what wonderful words to hear.
I started out being misdiagnosed with "allergies" by a sub-GP (and yes, take that two ways lol) . Soon after, my regular doctor returned and immediately sent me for a CT scan. Not only Ovarian cancer, but two pulmonary embolisms as well. A 20 pound tumor removed and later a totally unrelated internal bleed emergency surgery, and a severe anaphylaxis shock to literally 2 drops of Taxol on my first chemo session made me wonder about my future.
I'm still weak, still have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia (going on 30 years now), and still having visual disturbances. We just got snow the last two days again. Good ol' Minnesota weather, but I am ready for spring and looking forward to a summer without cancer and chemo.
Luck, healing and healthful wishes to all of you wonderful women. Your support has been and is very appreciated!
