So sorry for taking so long to thank all of you who replied to my post some time ago. I have been agonising over the decision to have debulking surgery or not. I did eventually decide not to have the surgery as the surgeon thaught I could finish up in a worst position due to previous surgery. As I am 77 I decided I would go with chemo. It was a difficult decision as I enjoy my life very muchhowever I am currently looking at trying a clinic in London called the care oncology clinic. They are researching the effect glucose has on the development of the blood supply to the cancer. They are prescribing Metformin, statins and other common drugs which are thought to effect the formation of the cancers blood supply, though it is much more complex. Has anyone else heard of or had any experience of this clinic. Thanks again for your reply s.

Re carcinosarcoma
I myself have no experience of this clinic, but know that a few other ladies in this site use it. Hopefully they will contact you soon. My brother in law works in cancer research, and looked into the clinic and was not particularly enthusiastic. There again, he's a scientist, and scientists often have difficulty accepting non traditional paths.

Hi
There have been loads of threads about the COC. Try using the search button and you should be able to find them.
Best wishes

I am following the tried and true paths, but have only just finished my first line treatment successfully for Stage 3c high grade serous carcinoma.
When, or if (I am trying everything to avoid this) I have a recurrence, I will undoubtedly be open to anything.
Meantime, here is this:

Hi Annasp,
I'm really glad you have been able to make a decision that you feel suits your situation. You sound as though you weighed up the pros and cons in just the right way to find what is right for you, so don't let yourself have any regrets now - or later!
Good Luck.
Hugs,

Hi Iris
Thank you for replying. I did agonize over the decision, changed my mind every 20 minutes but I am settled that it was right for me. There is a danger I. May regret not having the surgery but what ever I had decided there would probably be an occasion when I wished I had made the other decision. I hope things are going well for you.
