It’s four weeks since my Bilateral Oophorectomy and about five days now I am experiencing severe bowel pain so bad that It burns for the poop to pass at the bottom. I am not constipated just the passing is painful and burns like pepper.
Has anyone felt this before?

Hi Ramonasumi, do speak to your GP. Can't give you an explanation but keep your bowels 'soft' (tmi!). One thought is that the bowel may be bruised due to the bowel being handled during the operation..or piles? ATB. Lx
Hi, I had my op nearly 5 weeks ago. I had similar pains just before actually passing a motion. I put it down to perhaps having a small fissure (tear) internally. So, I have been taking a swig of lactulose daily to try and soften the stools and this seems to be helping at the moment. I am assuming that because bits were fiddled and played with so much in there by the surgeon that it is going to take a while for things to settle down. I still feel swollen around my abdomen and am still very conscious of things moving in different parts of the bowel. Plus last week I had my first lot of chemo post surgery and was paranoid about constipation! Oh the joys! Hope this helps xxxx
Echoing that you should get to your GP soon. It could also be something you're eating, but likely not. A hard poop might have torn something???? I needed far more stool softeners than the average person (and I drank tonnes and was able to do high fibre).
