Just to let you know, as it might not have been obvious from hubby Mike's post, that his wife , who passed away this morning has been on this site for several years ..known until she did an 'end of the road' post, not long before Christmas as chrisr.
She was really supportive to me and lots of others here and it led to us meeting in person and having (too few) really interesting and pleasurable times together.
She lived for several years in complete remission from stage 4 ovarian cancer and always said how lucky she had been, when she did have a recurrence, she had absolute faith that chemo would send her back into remission, as it had before, and was shocked when not all the treatments seemed to be working. If you remember, she posted a lovely Christmas photo 6 weeks ago, with her husband and daughter in her living room....and last year... tended to post with bright red spiky hair. I think she had posted on and off for several years. ( There was also a '1950's' photo last summer at Goodwood, when she was wearing an authentic 1950's dress.)
My guess is, that having been given the news that she probably had only weeks or months to live and having decided on balance against trials, she decided to delete her 'my ovacome' account; then changed her mind, which is where ' rchris 50' came from. However, it could all have been in error.
Thanks to everyone who supported her over the years...and to ovacome which facilitated my making a much appreciated new friend; it is so sad to lose her. love Chris xxxx

I am so sorry too. Sometimes, I feel numb with the grief of it all, but I’m very glad for your friendship which means a lot to us all. Friendship can be everything. Xxx
thanks Kathy, just wanted to be sure people realised who she was, as once she talked to me about how sad she found it when people joined the site and then died while she still felt ok. She did have a long remission and most of the time felt she had been very lucky.Love to you too Chris xx
Thank you Chris for posting this,I do remember the photo prior to Christmas & feel so sad to hear of her passing, such a lovely lady & very courageous.xx
So sorry to hear of her passing, thank you for letting us know Chris. I too remember her lovely photos, I hope she now has peace. Another lady taken too soon ❤️Xx Jane
I'm really pleased you posted this, because despite having been here a few years I was a little confused. As I knew Chris from her postings, inspiration and great advice, but was really confused by her profile dating 2016. Now you've reminded me that she took a break from HU.
I'm sure you are really feeling the pain of losing her, sending my love
I have new tablets, Pregablin, a low dose but they seem to help. I think the idea is to increase those and reduce the Fentanyl which makes me dizzy. Who knows lol. Feel better today, can almost feel spring in the air.
