Jackie’s husband Tom has asked me to let Jackie’s friends on Ovacome know that she passed away on Monday June 30th at Priscilla Bacon Lodge in Norwich.
Some of you will remember that Jackie with the help of her two sons drew up an amazing bucket list of her life dreams.
For each trip they had Jackie put together a photo book so her sons would have lovely lasting memories of the fun they had.
Jackie was a great supporter of Ovacome and she did a lot to raise awareness of Ovarian cancer and Jackie was always very keen that the message got ‘out there’ about Ovarian cancer being found early as sadly Jackie’s was not .
A truly inspiring and dear friend to myself and many others.
Jan.

How very sad. Jackie was an amazing lady, so committed to getting the most out of life for herself and her boys. She will be sadly missed on this site. Her warmth, positivity and humour always shone through. I will miss her posts, raising awareness, helping others on this site and about all the amazing experiences on her bucket list, as I am sure we all will. She is gone too soon.
There are no adequate words. My thoughts and sympathy are with her family and friends, I am sure her love will help you to smile again

Thank you for posting this Jan, i know how difficult this is for you ..I have temporarily rejoined to post a tribute to Jackie because I didn't want to trouble Gill so early and this needed to be up after your announcement (so there's no gap) thank you for ringing me too.
My deepest condolences to Jackie's lovely husband Tom and boys Ben and Alex thinking of them at this very sad time love x G x
I'm sending heartfelt condolences to Tom, Ben and Alex, their family and many friends. I met Jackie just over a year ago before the Ovacome Members' Day. She had long been an inspiration with her upbeat posts telling us about the fun times she had planned with her boys. I shall miss her dreadfully but her memory will live on as an inspiration to me, and surely for anyone facing a terminal prognosis. Jackie defied the odds for several years but she remained positive and full of hope, continuing her work as a child minder and just being the most amazing mum and wife despite her gruelling treatments.
I feel privileged to have known such an amazing woman.

So sad. Jackie was so lovely, utterly madcap and determined to wring the joy out of life for herself, her husband and the boys. Thinking of them now, and I hope soon they are able to remember that good stuff too. I know she was a good friend Jan, hope you are OK too
So very sad but she wasn't sounding too good when I spoke to her a couple of months ago. It was a privilege to have known her as it is to know everyone on this site.

I am so very sorry to hear this - sending my deepest condolences to you and all her lovely family. I always felt such admiration for Jackie after reading her posts. God bless.
I was very sad to read this news and my condolences go out to all her family at this saddest of times. She was someone who made such a positive contribution to the site for which I am very greatful.
I am so sorry to hear this news! I really liked Jackie and was very sad that she was becoming so poorly. I'll never forget being told off at the Ovacome members' day in 2013 because Jackie and I were quietly explaining our pictures to each other before we were allowed to do so - she was my partner in crime!
All my thoughts and prayers go out to Tom, Ben and Alex. I wish them great enjoyment of all the lovely memories she left behind her, and happiness for the future, as I'm sure Jackie herself would have wished.
Thank you, Jan, for passing on the sad news of Jackie's death. She was truly an example to us of how to live life to the full with cancer whilst possible. I really admired her spirit and the love for her boys that shone through. Please pass on my sympathy to her family at this horrible time.
