Cervical cancer

Hello everyone. I was reading an article on cervical cancer yesterday. I came to know that it is increasing rapidly among the women. Can anyone tell me what is the cause of it? I want to know about symptoms of it. Is there any way to get rid of it? It seems very dangerous. I think there should be public awareness about it.

This forum is for ladies who have or have had ovarian cancer and their family and supporters.

There is a forum specifically for cervical cancer and there is also much more information out there that is very readily available. If you have any concerns at all contact your GP who will be only too happy to arrange a smear test for you. ❤️Xx Jane

At secondary school you are offered a vaccine and education.

It would be foolish in my opinion not to take it up.

Women are also failing to go for their regular smear test and I think that is the reason it is on the increase.

There is plenty of info and forums out there as suggested.

Take care and if you have any of the signs and symptoms please insist on a smear test if you are under the age of receiving regular tests.

Sorry to say you have posted on the wrong forum. Check and see if there is a Cervical Cancer forum and see what replies you get. In the meantime, if you are attending a Cancer Support Centre they might point you in the direction of leaflets you could distribute to ladies in your area and doctors surgeries etc.

HAve a look at the 'Ask Eve' forum here on Health Unlocked (they are a charity concerned with all the Gyny cancers). By chance this is a week when they are raising awareness about Cervical Cancer and especially encouraging women to attend regular smear tests.

Wanting to understand better and raise awareness is great and there will be so much available to you to do both this week!
