Just finished 18 weeks of weekly taxol at Christie's where you get to ring a bell so everyone can hear ...
Back early January for a scan and follow up and hoping that outcome matches up to feeling that this treatment overall has worked for me - ππ»ππ€π».
it's been quite an intensive time, which has inevitably left with some continuing symptoms - but not only happy to get to the end but good timing just before Christmas. Looking forward to some good times, starting tomorrow with a bunch of friends round for mulled wine and coffee ( maybe)
Planning for a few days in London mid Feb where we will be able to meet up with our Vancouver daughter on a work conference, but before that planning on a week in Tenerife late January and as much else as we can possibly fit in.
Hope all you wonderful people have a great Christmas. I am fully aware that many are not in a good place so I wish them peace and calm thoughts.
This forum is amazing, so much care and love and supportive advice at all levels. I wish you all the best in 2018
Love and hugs and many rainbows janet x

Ding-a-ling lovely lady. Well done. How come you have rosy cheeks compared to my grey ones? You look so happy and radient. Clap clap clap clap. That's not my present medical condition, just my way of applauding you. I'll try see if the next bit works
Ha ha, those are rosy steroid cheeks plus 25 degree heat on the chemo Ward. Using the green camouflage cream to try and damp down but I'm still shining. At leAst I LOOK like a healthy bod..x
Fabulous, Janet - I'm so glad it worked for you. There's always some trade off with chemo, but we must always aim for it to be the best that it can be. Enjoy your time off treatment!
Well done on getting through that marathon chemo! I've rung that bell (1st Dec) and everyone clapped which was fab. Enjoy all the stuff you have planned - you deserve it!
I am pleased to see you looking well. I may have to have weekly taxol as next line and was told my hair would go again but it doesnβt look like you had a problem CA125 was 276 in November and given three months to next appointment. Went to GP last week as feeling strange he did a blood test and gone up to 2139. Just waiting call from hospital. Frustrating as difficult to find anyone to speak to. My consultant left the NHs in October and new one on maternity leave. Hope to get a phone call soon from someone!
If you are like me the hair never really fell out, overall the weekly taxol was much less harsh on the body after symptoms but do consider having a cvc line fitted as skin gets thin and bruisy towards the end and weekly cannulation on the veins with this regime is particularly tough.
Yes I got 3 months after first line before my CA 125 started shooting up... opting for longer obviously, but I am realistic. My last CA was 214 which had come down over 18 weeks from 5000+
All the best Janet hope you have a lovely Christmas my mum is half way through round 3 today canβt wait for when she rings that bell too xx take care have a drink for my mum xx
It is lovely hearing that bell. Well done. Time now to enjoy the festive season and look forward to 2018. Wishing you all the best. You look great. TAKE CARE. XX
