Well just a quick update, following my con appt and scan good news in July/August, NED, I am on my way to Uganda on Tuesday!! I have always wanted to do this but work, finances , responsibilities and this disease have always got in the way. I am ready, fundraised, vaccinated, visa'd, insured, accommodated, placed, shopped, packed and ready to travel to Uganda to train village health workers in Midwifery skills, it's not going to be all rosy but I am sooooooo excited I can hardly contain myself! I want to give a bit of the skills I have gained over 30 plus years to someone who might make a tiny difference and because of this disease I can. I know that sounds strange but if I hadn't had this last 4 years, diagnosis, treatment, complications and so far recovery, I would not be able to have the time and determination to go because it(Ovarian Cancer) makes you re-evaluate your life and strengthens your personal resolve to get out there and do the things you want to instead of just talking. My family is so supportive, I could say I was going to the moon and they would say great go for it! My Dad at 89 has reserves about this trip of mine but even he has got a little excited by it now. I will be posting on my Facebook page when I can , during the trip but just wanted to say
4 YEARS ON AND I'M DOING SOMETHING USEFUL AGAIN, so good for my personal ego !
Will post again post trip in a month, bye bye for now.............. keep going girls, it can even change your life positively. X Kay.

Stay safe, keep well, keep that positivity to the fore and really enjoy the whole experience, looking forward to your update when you get back. Love and hugs ❤️Xx Jane
Have a great trip. You are really making a difference. Hopefully you might sometimes get internet access and so occasionally be able to let us know how things are going. If not, looking forward to hearing all about it upon your return.
wOW! What a lovely positive post. You deserve this trip and you will be making such an amazing contribution to the lives of so many women and babies in Uganda. You are one amazing lady. Bon Voyage!!!
What a great idea. A friend of ours went to uganda as well and did a similar thing and enjoyed it immensely. Her husband went with as he did some lectures to the church. Have a wonderful time and keep posting.
You are a true inspiration and an amazing lady. To be given extra time to do something for our fellow humans and to grab the chance and run with it means that you make the world a much better place. Feel special, because that's what you are. Enjoy. Kryssy xxx
