Hi again girls. Just a bit of showing off as I'm still on a family visit high.
A photo to prove my knitting non-skills and my cheapo 20 euro wig which I wore for just the second time at the airport yesterday to say goodbye. The expensive wig has never been out of its box since I got it as I don't like it. Anyways, I knitted Max's jumper with numb fingers so there are mistakes because I'm a very novice knitter and with fingers that didn't work very well it was a mammoth task. I had gained a couple of extra rows in one of the green stripes on the back, but only on one end. Never noticed until it was time to sew up. I must have done it on a chemo day or something. Still, it can be a play jumper. It is either the knitting or the Alpha Lipoic Acid and L-Glutamine that I'm taking that has certainly helped with the neuropathy. It may help anyone else who is suffering.
Everyone take care and I'll keep knitting and try not to make mistakes.

I have found my knitting really helps with my neuropathy, I just wish I could knit with my feet too 😬😂. Keep practicing you’ll get there chemo brain allowing, I’m always here to help if you need it . The wig looks fab on you ❤️Xx Jane
what a lovely jumper, I like it, glad you are reliving your days with your boys, we need things like this to keep us going
Brilliant, I can’t knit for toffee, my mum who was a great knitter was always in despair of me, I can see her eyes rolling even now! I sew and can honestly say it, along with my fantastic family, is what gets me through things. Unfortunately my family have to put up with my creations as gifts, there’s only so many quilts I can put on my bed without suffocating. You must keep going this lovely little ones need you and the jumpers. Jill
SO impressed, Kristy!! With the great jumper, the Gorgeous children ( or is it two Photos of the same little one?) and your wig. It's just so natural looking. I would never have guessed it wasn't your own hair. Solange 😊Xx
Well done Kryssy, it looks great (the wig and the jumper). I think the knitting helps with the neuropathy. I've joined a knit and natter group. I love the colours. Max could be on the front of a knitting pattern it's so good.
Hadn't realised it was a wig! The jumper looks great -I have had many knitting disasters but managed one lovely cardigan that actually fitted. I took L-glutamine after reading posts on here-I took it for 3 days before each infusion and for 10 days after and don't have any neuropathy. I had the burning feet though. Glad you had a great family visit.
What a lovely baby and jumper. I used to knit loads when i was in my twenties and when i was diagnosed i started knitting again. It helped pass my time and keep my brain active. I love doing cable patterns.I also had to pull out a couple of times when i went wrong but managed to finish . I still need to sew on buttons. My daughter is crazy about knitting and has passed on some lovely wool.I just have to find a pattern now.Your wig looks lovely. I know many people don't like the wigs and prefer to go without. At the moment i have not lost much hair as I am only on carboplatin but have resorted to hats sometimes as i always seem to be finding hair all over the house. Keep knitting and take care.
