At hubby's insistence I ordered a couple of wigs today but why do they have to be modeled by such young and beautiful people? I'm a 68 year old crinkly with a saggy chin (or two) and will never look the same as those gorgeous girls. I didn't even look like that 50 years ago. Still, I could always wear the wig backwards.
If I'm brave I'll post a picture one day.

Although I didn't lose my hair I did some wig surfing and found some great ones on Amazon of all places. I also looked into bandanas but because they decided against Taxol it wasn't needed now have roots that need a hat lol
I'm sure you will get some great links from the ladies who've posted some fab pics.
Don't know where you live Kryssy, but before I lost my hair I went to buy a wig,got great help and was offered this wig that was a random pixie blonde cut to try on, my reaction was unprintable, but, she knew what she was talking about and I have my hair cut like that on its return.
I suppose what I am trying to say is keep an open mind and maybe it may be your chance for a new you, don't run yourself down,I am sure you are fab,I am not a spring chicken, but try my best, maybe go on one of these feel good courses, even because you get fabulous products,it's your time to shine😀😘xx
You may well end up enjoying wearing your wigs. Mine was much better than my real hair. Not only was it straight, it was much thicker which made me look younger. I also paid more attention to my make up, given the lack of eyelashes and eyebrows and I'm sure this all contributed to favourable comments.
One thing, if you've bought a synthetic wig, remember to stand back when you first open the oven door; you don't want it to frizz up. Otherwise very easy to wash and dry overnight, no worrying about styling. Oh, and don't carelessly put it within reach of a dog who just may run off with it and "kill" it under the dining room table. His efforts at restyling it for you will almost certainly lack professionalism and you will be forced to trim bits here and there while you wait for a new one to arrive.
I know just what you mean. The site I got mine from sometimes shows members of the public modelling some of their wigs which gives a more realistic idea.
You obviously have a fantastic sense of humour and this will really help you get through the treatment.
looking forward to seeing the evidence with wigs the right way round. ❤️Xx Jane
I loved my wig...I wish I knew how to post pictures here. nobody who didn't know about my cancer even suspected it was a wig - even people sitting inches away from me at the table.
but I only wore it to work to avoid a lot of attention. elsewhere it was too hot and too itchy to wear all the time. yet, it was 8 month of 'perfect hair day' we all dream about. it does make you feel good, or better but you don't have to do it - just see how you feel.
