Well this is a post I never EVER thought I would be writing. 10 years today I had my op and my cancer was confirmed with the words 'the prognosis is not good, you probably have a couple of years', delivered at my bedside by my surgeon who I had never seen before and whilst I was on my own recovering from a radical hysterectomy. Well as you can see, still here ladies, so take heart, things aren't always as dire as first painted. I know a lot of you are having a really tough time at the mo, and I know how tough things can be. I haven't sailed through the last 10 years, there have been plenty of tears, rough times, despairing times etc but I'm still here! I'm sending each and every one of you the biggest hug I can muster, thinking of each and every one of you and all the teal sisters who are no longer with us on the forum but we carry in a small corner of our hearts and who I am actually shedding a tear for as I write this post. This is definitely an occasion to mark! All of the milestones we aim at - 3 months, 6 months, a year, two years, five years, ten years - are all part of how we deal with this disease. Sometimes, we go through a milestone more than once! Each relapse is a reset, and we start counting again.

Thank you for the uplifting post I am 9 months in remission after radical op and 18 consecutive weeks of carbo/ Paxel and have been given a good prognosis with a ca125 of 7
