I don’t come in here often lately, but still log in to see how people are doing.
I thought hard about posting my news because of the lovely ladies going through tough times. But those that know me know that I’ve always said that we should share good news as much as the bad. I truly believe that it helps those who are newly diagnosed.
Had my 21 month post front line chemo check yesterday and can’t quite believe that I am still in complete remission with a CA125 of 11.
When first diagnosed I couldn’t see this far, I was convinced it would be quick to return. Since entering remission I’ve lived life to the full and been jetting around to fantastic places, I’ve had a fourth grandchild and started a new nursing job...... not bad for someone who was told by a vile GP that I would never return to work......
Dear marion, fantastic news long may it continue for you. We need uplifting posts to get us through our down tines, it gives us hope, thank you
Hello Marian - That is fantastic news, I for one love to read the positive results, it gives me hope. Your news has lifted my spirits as I was feeling a little down today. Thank you. xxx
This is the kind of news that helps everyone when feeling a little helpless. Good to know that life can be good after the devastating news on diagnosis. Keep well x
Lovely to hear from you and I’m thrilled you’re still doing well. I’m always a bit cautious with sharing good news but I think it’s important to share our good news as it can give an uplift to many. Congratulations on the new grand baby. Keep on keeping well and enjoying your life, big hugs ❤️Xx Jane
That’s amazing Marion, I too live life to the full, travel and have 2 grandkids I didn’t think I would live to see.
I think good news is helpful since it can be done by anyone if they get half a chance, we live life by the seat of our pants, but take every opportunity of a positive outcome.
I think it’s brilliant to prove the doubters wrong!!
Brilliant news Marion! So good to hear your doing well, I always hesitate to share good news but it does give everyone hope. hope your new job is going well and you are enjoying cuddles off your grandchildren. Big hug, Kathy xx
That’s just fantastic news, it’s great to hear good news . I’ve just had my first end of treatment scan , and it came back clear , so I’m hoping I can do as well as you . Take care xxx
Hello Marian,Fantastic news and yes you are right no matter what our sisters are going through, positive news is good to hear. It always brings a smile to my face.
Hearing good news like that keeps us all going. Live life girl and keep posting it keeps those of u s tel having treatment knowing there is life at the end of the rollercoaster tunnel that chemo is.
Marian-you are right--always good to share the good news--not even only for the newly diagnosed. SO happy for you and love that you started a new job when you were told you would never work again! Here's to continuing to live your life to the fullest! Congratulations. oxoxoxxo
Lovely news - I too hesitate about posting, and upsetting those going through difficult times, but if all posts are about bad things, it skews the picture for those newly diagnosed. I kept off the site for nearly a year after my recurrence as I felt overwhelmed and worried there was no hope for me, reading tragic stories of failure of treatments and awful side effects, though everyone on here is wonderfully supportive.
That was last year - I've been on Niraparib for over a year now, and yesterday my oncologist told me my CT scan showed nothing worrying, my CA125 is stable and the lowest it's been, and I'm enjoying life to the full. Congratulations on the latest grandchild - my first is due next week; something I thought I wouldn't see in my darkest hours, and I plan to make the most of every moment. x
