Hi Teal Ladies. I had a check-up with my oncologist a few days ago. It coincided with my three year anniversary of the discovery of my Fallopian Tube cancer, staged at 3b.
Well, all seems to be well. CA125 is 6.2. Holding steady for all this time. It's not the best marker for me as it was only 45 the day of debulking but I'll take it. I just wanted to let all those struggling know that we can beat this thing! The doc told me, in my case, that recurrence may show it's symptom as a hernia. That was interesting because me having a hernia operated on 3 years ago is what started this mess!
I wanted to check in and give you all a hug. You are invaluable each day to my understanding of this disease. You make me laugh, cry, and cheer! Hugs to you all. Gonna be busy the next few days as we have a hurricane headed our way, so I should be preparing. Jill
PS. I used to post as Mommoo65 but somehow I messed that up while updating my profile. But I have been reading this forum for the entire 3 years. You can still find my alter ego (Mommoo65) on here and can read my earlier posts from when I was new and worried and scared. Love you guys!

We are well, Maus. Thank you! It's moving north more each day so we are OK except for Tropical Storm strength winds and rain unless she turns southeast. Water, canned foods and flashlights ready for whatever comes. We're kinda used to these things. 😕 unfortunately.
Hi a Jill, fabulous news on your results, keep keeping well. Batten down those hatches, I hope the hurricane doesn’t cause too much damage. I’m just off for a walk to the coastal path, we have a particularly high tide today and I find it just fascinating what momma nature can do.
Thank you for sharing, it’s always good to read good news, keep safe ❤️Xx Jane
Hi Jill/ thank you so much for the update. Your journey gives us all hope for winning this dreaded disease. Are you getting just blood work and physical exams or are you getting regular CT scans? Next month I will be two years from the end of my chemo cycles. It’s always there in the back of my mind. So far so good for me. I pray for everyone going through this and for those who have reoccurred. Please stay in touch. Love and hugs to all.
The only CT I had was just before surgery. I was diagnosed when I had the hernia operation when the docs did some exploring. They did miss the Fallopian tube tumor then and in the CT. Only found it during debulking. He thought I had PPC but it was the FTC metastasizing. My doc will only do a CT if symptoms warrant. I will however see him periodically probably for the rest of my life. They do keep an eye on me!
Well done Jill. It's always so good to hear good news like yours. Long may it continue. It will take more than a hurricane to blow you away now !
By the way I clicked on Like on your post and some nasty gremlin flashed up Unlike ! I have read on here that it's not the first time this has happened.
Enjoy your wonderful freedom from worry. Take care
Hope you've well and truly battened down the hatches by now or have evacuated. Your approaching storm is in the UK news a lot and looks really alarming.
